1. Are the products registered in Europe?
Yes, the products bear the CE mark and are legal to sell and use in the European Community and many other countries.

2. Are the products registered in the US by the FDA?
The ICP-Monitoring products are registered by the FDA and are legal to sell and use in the USA.

3. How do the Spiegelberg ICP-Monitors pick up the pressure?
Pressure is transmitted through air from the brain to the air-pouch to the pressure transducer in the monitor.

4. Is it possible to transmit pressure through air, even though the air is compressible?
Yes, air is an excellent pressure transmitter. Its low viscosity is a strong point. The compressibility is not a problem, as long as the system is operated in its pressure range.

5. Isn´t temperature a problem with the volume of air in the air-pouch being dependent on temperature?
No, temperature is not a problem, as long as long as the system is operated in its pressure range.

6. Does the ICP-Monitor have a battery back up?
HDM 29.1 has a battery back up. HDM 26.1 does not.

7. Does the Silverline material have an antimicrobial effect on all organisms?
