You've been using the same products for years and you've gotten used to each other. But from one day to the next, the product is no longer available. You ask the manufacturer and hear that the product was uneconomical and was therefore discontinued. Still manageable with strawberry jam, but with medical products this often means changing the existing processes, with associated risks for patient care.
Almost every day we hear from the industry that products are no longer being continued due to the new EU legislation (MDR) because scarce resources (people and time) and low sales make a product unprofitable.
We at Spiegelberg also have to face this challenge and we have decided that we will try to continue all our products in order to give our customers long-term security.
